The title is an archaic symbol that could be found all over the world in a wide variety of cultures, psychology, alchemy, mythology and religion.
It is depicting a serpent (or dragon), eating its own tail, forming a circle. This "self-consumer" stands for infinity and unity in a broader sense.
Of course, in each culture or area, the symbol has a more differentiated, more specific meaning, but the quintessence always remains the same, representing the infinite cycle of nature's endless creation and destruction, life and death.
In an associative, metaphorical, and intuitive way, I visualize the consciousness that results out of the examination of the meaning and the expression of "Ouroboros".
My intention is to introduce the viewer, with a collection of sensitizing imagery, to my subject and give him/her a feeling/insight, Of what many ancient cultures knew long before our time, and what gets lost more and more in our society.
